The main attraction on Dunree Head is Dunree Fort with its military museum. There are several old, weather beaten barracks which can be explored by foot. With increasing distance to the fort the view on the surroundings widens and an amazing panorama can be observed. From the promontory you have a wonderful view of Dunree Beach and over Lough Swilly all the way to the Fanad Peninsula.

Dunree Head Location
Dunree Head is located in the west of the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, about 11 km north of Buncrana.
