Inishowen Head is secludedly located in the far north-east of the Inishowen Peninsula. Close to Stroove there is a small road, which leads to an elevated parking area. On the meadows nearby are old watch houses from the Second World War, which offer an incredible panoramic view: right ahead the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean, to the left impressive steep cliffs and to the right the miraculous coast of Northern Ireland. The best way to explore the wild terrain around Inishowen Head, is by foot and the parking area near Stroove Lighthouse is the perfect base for the 8 kilometres round trip.
