The remains of Ardea Castle are located near Tuosist, just above the Kenmare River coast. Nowadays it is difficult to find the fortress because it is completely overgrown and difficult to access. Once you have found it and managed to get close to it, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the bay.

Ardea Castle Location
Ardea Castle is located near Tuosist on the Beara Peninsula, about 18,5 km southwest of Kenmare. You have to walk across private farmland to reach the ruin. So the best tip is to ask for permission and directions (it’s not easy to find).
