The westernmost part of the Dingle Peninsula is undeniably one of the most beautiful areas of Ireland. At the Wild Atlantic Way discovery point “Blasket Sound” lies the wonderful sandy beach Carrignaparka Beach. Adjacent is the headland Dunmore Head, which can be climbed in a short hike. Reaching the top you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the Blasket Sound and the Blasket Islands. There is also a lot to discover: A crooked Ogham stone and an old watchtower are enthroned on the hill.
