The Gap of Mamore is a pass in the Urris Hills and for a long time the narrow road has been the only connection between Urris and Buncrana. Right after passing the very top of the pass an incredible panorama presents itself, best enjoyed from a small parking bay opposite a holy well and a statue of holy Mary.
Tip: To enjoy the Gap of Mamore in all its glory, you should approach the pass from the south. The ascent has a gradient of almost 30%. But once you have crossed the ridge, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view.
