The little seaside village of Portmagee is usually quite busy in the summer months. No wonder, Portmagee is the hub for trips to the Skellig Islands. In suitable weather conditions the boats start from the new marina to the Skelligs (also from the Ballinskelligs Pier). At Portmagee there is a bridge connecting Valentia Island with the mainland.
